Does your low back get tight after you've been sitting for a while? Do your hamstrings get tight after a run? The crossed-leg forward fold stretches out your hamstrings, low back and hips. It's one of my favorites when I get off my bike.
Stand tall on one foot, most of your weight will stay on this leg, your stretching leg, for the remainder of the stretch.
Cross your other leg over the front of your stretching leg.
Hinge at the hips to bend forward and stretch your back leg.
Increase your stretch by reaching your hands to the instep of your stretching leg.
Hold for 30 seconds and then switch sides.
